Current Event in Haiti

The thirty-three children who were taken to the Dominican Republic after the earthquake will be reunited with their biological parents. The children were taken care of at the SOS Children's Village in Santo, Haiti which cares for children with families at risk and a lack of parental guidance. The children all received medical care and phycological help. All thirty-three children were reunited with their parents and the SOS Children's Village will be able to provide additional support. Current Event In Corsica

On October 28, 2010, Corsica began its annual Le Festival du Vent, or the Festival of the Wind. This festival looks at environmental issues and how to preserve cultures. The festival brings together a wide range of people, including scientists, artists, and people of all ages. There will be information on environmental issues, concerts, games, street theatre performances, and hot air ballooning. This is the festival's 18th year and is predicated to attract 50,000 visitors.
